Not for me.
Barbie is a brand. I’m obsessed with brand identities and re branding things. I get that inspiration from a designer called NOKI, who does similar things. The vest isn’t finished yet either… So watch this space, I’m going to put a great twist on it! People have decided the Barbie logo means bimbo. I haven’t. Its just a doll brand to me and I love the logo. The typography is beautiful, similar to Coca Cola, which I also brand things with a lot. You can style things to change how people perceive them. I made this top to go with some smart tailored trousers and my vintage glasses. I like this idea- Adidas with floral lace, Barbie with Tailoring, baggy sweaters and heels, Chanel and Hi Tech…
